How to increase page loading time in Firefox?
This article explains about how to increase page loading time in Firefox browser, You can also increase the maximum number of simultaneous downloads, few plug-in’s are available to reduce the DNS look up waiting time and load the pages quickly.
Tweak Network Settings Plug-in -firefox
Download This plug-in
Install it on your Firefox browser
Go to Main Menu->Options->Add on’s
Select Tweak Network and Click on options
After clicking the options button, it shows a Dialog box with the above configurations
Max Connections, Max Connections Per server, Max Persistent Connections per server(if needed), then Max Persistent Connections per proxy, don’t check pipelining and proxy pipelining until if really need it.
by the way you have two Button’s
Default and Power
If you click Default button then default settings or configurations will be reverted, on click of power button the Max Connections Per server, Max Persistent Connections per server will update as 16 by default.
If you know exactly about the power settings then you can change as needed, but without knowing that if you change the configuration then it leads to decrease the page loading speed, it’s always advised to keep it in default mode, post modifications click Apply and restart the Browser.
Now browse any page, now loads much faster than earlier, basically it reduces the DNS look up waiting time and keeps the pages in cache and shows up in the results, you would be experienced high speed now on the same page after doing the above configurations.
Same way many other Firefox plug-ins are also available to tweak page loading time such as Speed DNS.
For other Browser’s such as internet explorer, Chrome, Opera, safari have separate plug-in’s to increase/tweak page loading speed.
