What is Test batch Runner in QTP?
Test batch runner in qtp can be used to run several tests in succession, the results for each test are stored in their default location, It runs in linear execution based on the added batch sequence.
Using Test batch runner, a list of tests can be set up and save the list as an .mtb file, so that the same batch of tests can be easily executed again, at another time, it is possible to choose whether to include or exclude a test in the batch list from running during a batch run.
To start a test batch runner, select “Allow other Mercury products to run tests and components” in the Run tab of the options dialog box, and make sure Run mode is selected as Normal.

How to Run a Test batch runner in QTP:
Choose Programs->Quick Test Professional->Tools->Test Batch Runner from the start menu, Test Batch Runner dialog box opens.
Click the Add button in line level menu or select Batch->Add, The open test dialog box opens.
Select the test that wants to be included in the batch list and click open, that particular test will be included in the list.
Repeat the same to add more tests, Execution of the test happens based on the sequence added in batch runner, To delete added batch test use delete option from edit menu.
To run Batch runner Press F5 button in keyboard.
To save the batch list, select File->Save or click the save button, the extension will be .mtb
When the test is ready to run, click the run button or select File->Run or select F5, If QTP is not open, it opens and run the test sequence as listed, once the test batch is completed, results for each test can be viewed in their default result folders.
