In order to recover hidden files from any external hard disk, you need to write few commands in Command Prompt

Press CTRL+R ->Enter CMD and Enter or Click on Run Tab ->Enter CMD and Enter

In The command window, select the Drive which you want to recover your files

Ex . “H” (drive name), command is Enter cd\ then Enter, then Enter your drive name Ex. H:

Ex. Cd\

H:

Then Type ‘attrib –h’ to view hidden files (without single quotes)

Or

attrib -s -h F:\infoyep                                 ‘infoyep is the folder name’ you are recovering

Or

Enter attrib –s- h /s /d *.*(Enter exactly with spaces)

Or

attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*    ‘Assuming g drive is a affected drive, you can replace g to any other drive

Attrib  : To Change the attributes of a single File/Folder/Directory

-h         : To enable Hidden files

-s          : Modifies the behaviors of the File/Folder/Directory

To unhide use + , to hide use – (minus)
